Mission of Education
Coping with St. De la Salle teachings, the school has graduated thousands of students who were very effective and successful in serving their societies and communities. The main objective and fundamental goal is to create well educated people and courage them to proceed with their academic studies, meanwhile gaining De la Salle words and their spiritual meanings to be applied in their daily life. De la Salle College of Jerusalem looks forward to continue its education mission for more generations to come.
Courses
Abiding by the rules and
regulations of the Ministry of Education of the Palestinian Authority, there are
five levels of education in De la Salle College. They are:
1. Montessori: The courses are:
Arabic, English languages, Mathematics, Painting & drawing, and sport.
2. Elementary: The courses
are: Arabic, English, French, Hebrew languages, Mathematics, Science,
Social Studies (History & Geography). Beginning the Sixth elementary
level, computer and sport courses are given. Beginning the Second elementary
level, music course is added.
3. Preparatory: The
courses are: The afore-said courses are given to the 7th and 8th levels, however, Social Studies course is given as two separate courses, History
and Geography. At the 9th level, students are prepared for either
Palestinian Ministry of Education High School Exam (Tawjihi) or the GCE
Examinations. All the said courses are taken, but Science course is divided into
three separate courses: Chemistry, Biology and Physics.
4. Secondary: The
courses are: At the 10th level, the class is still divided into two
parts, GCE and Tawjihi examinations. At the 11th level those who are
prepared for GCE examination will be ready to sit for it. Those who are prepared
for Tawjihi exam, are divided into two classes, Scientific Stream and Literary Stream.

Summer Camps
The summer camp program yearly project at De La Salle club since 1989 , in question, aims for the Development of children and youth during the time when neither their parents nor the schools may be looking out for them. This term implies a structured program with set hours and curricula that seeks to serve the developmental and care needs of the children and youth involved in the program.
1- De L Salle club tries that best means used in managing summer camp activities for children for both male and female.
2- The summer camp program in De La Salle club in Jerusalem is one of the best programs in the Jerusalem area.
3- Activities are all sports, cultural, social, educational recreational, journeys and many other interesting activities including computer knowledge.
4- Each year and for a period of one whole month number of children participating is 300 - 350 each year both male and female.
5- The activities planned and prepared by highly trained staff in a quality program support the Development and education of the children and youth. Staff design the activities with a full understanding of the developmental stages of the children involved, giving them opportunities to choose from a variety of possible activities depending on their ages, desires and interests.
6- Volunteers help in taking care of children.
7- The summer camp for the year 2000 will start middle of June and for a one month period. Subscription will start in the middle of May.
